How to Become a Commissioner

The California Commission on the Status of Women is comprised of seventeen members. Nine Public Members, six Legislative Members and two Statutory Members. The Commission itself is not responsible for the appointment of Commissioners.

As a state agency, the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls may accept tax-deductible donations from the general public to support its programs, services and operations including gifts made on behalf, in honor or in memory of another person.
